In which I turn 30

Can you think of a cooler way to spend your 30th birthday than waking up in a nice hotel in Guayaquil, Ecuador, flying to Lima, Peru and then spending the evening drinking cocktails and eating in one of the nicest restaurants in Lima with your handsome husband?  I couldn’t, so that’s what I did!

Strike a pose!

We started our evening out with a few Pisco Sours (the official cocktail of Peru) at a lovely little bar near our hostel.  Then we moved on to La Gloria Restaurante for an amazing meal and a bottle of wine.

My starter- grilled scallops with lemon and garlic

Andy's starter- lobster tails with brown butter sauce

Andy's main- grilled jumbo prawns with nori

My main- oxtail and mushroom rissotto

I felt happy and spoiled and very full.  A great start to my 30’s!
