This week’s Beard Watch is a tribute to my Scottish roots. The beard is very red, especially in the sun. I’m starting to get that matted layer that gives it a spongy feel when you pet it. It is still quite soft, and it is much more full!
A large ‘thank you’ also goes out to my Beard Watch photographer, my beautiful wife SarahKate. She has been very supportive and patient with getting the photos correct each week.
Here is this week’s evidence:
The beard loves the sun and grass!!
This is one of several pictures from Machu Picchu. One picture is not enough to sum up the entire experience and feeling of MP.
This picture captures the beauty of the terracing that is a trademark of Machu Picchu. These terraces are on the lesser known side away from the entrance. Each terrace is accessed by stairs, and there is no wasted space.
To finish up our time in Cusco, I’ve put together some of the pics I took from a walk around town with my beautiful wife. The town has so much history which I think is better shown without color.
This was the best of the lot in my opinion; SarahKate against the magnificent lines of the old Incan blocks that make up this wall. The picture pulls you in, and her smile grabs your attention.
This was my favorite pic from Cusco.
These next two pictures display some of the beautiful doors and texture found throughout the back streets of Cusco:
A side street in Cusco. The doors and windows are originally in blue.
Love the texture of this shot.
This last black and white picture captures an alley of the old town dedicated to foreigners (gringoes). We did not spend much time here. 😉
